I am an ordinary person, someone that you catch a glance of in the grocery store. The person standing in front of you at the post office or just any person you may pass on the street. No one special yet in the passages throughout this book you may find certain situations and circumstances remind you of your own life. They may appear so similar in detail that you may even think; "Wow this sounds so much like my own life, it's as if I were telling the story myself." This is a story about my life and those around me and how much our lives had very similar, yet very different circumstances. A story that shows even though we are all from totally different back grounds and upbringings, how much our lives were brought together due to one common factor that affected us very much throughout our lives.

This book is dedicated to those who suffer, as I have, with a daily and ongoing battle. With an illness that has no cure to date, but will someday. A disease that is all too common and growing in reported cases each year that it presently is the world's fastest growing infectious disease. A disease that people know about, yet for one reason or another, can not connect the dots that bring them to a diagnosis. For those who may have been told what is wrong with them, but refuse that such a simple answer could not be the reason why they are so sick. Let me tell you, it can be the reason why, and without the right treatment, you will never get better.

The aim and concern for writing this book is to reach those people who are suffering and still have no clue as to "why" they suffer. To address those who suffer yet know why they suffer and assure them they are not alone in their battle. To offer hope to everyone who suspects that they may have found an answer in reading this book that there is hope and there will be a cure, and may be one presently yet we have yet to open that door.

I am the average person, with an average build. I have lived an average life and yet somehow I do not feel average at all. This is one of the reasons why I write this book. I felt compelled to reach out to the world in anyway I possibly could. Talking to a few people was just not enough. The passion I feel, fires my blood, fuels my writing and will not cease until I have published this book.

  This is to inform the uninformed, to share with those who are informed, to reach the doubting minds that there is a reason why most people suffer. To place a doubt in others who are offered a reason, yet still feel no better with the answer they have been given. As it is said "Seek and ye shall find!"

I have lost loved ones to this disease. I have watched them endure a lifetime of pain and suffering. Some never knew why they were sick, others found out too late, and those who are still alive, have a never ending battle ahead of them. I am surrounded by it, live with it and will die as a result of it, no doubt.

I am changing the names of my family, as per the request of my family, since they would like their lives to remain untouched by my book. Out of respect for what we have been through during our lives I will oblige this request.
